How SPOC Energy, Inc. handles the contact details used for equipment alerts.
This notice covers the text message, voice and email alerts SPOC Energy, Inc. sends about monitored equipment. It sits alongside our general Privacy Policy, which covers our website and other services; where this notice is more specific about messaging, this notice applies.
For this programme we collect only what is needed to send an alert and to know whether it arrived: the contact's name, mobile number and email address, the organisation and equipment they are a contact for, and a record of who confirmed their agreement to be contacted and when.
We also keep a record of each message sent — the time, the destination, the equipment and condition it concerned, and what the carrier reported about delivery — so that a missed alert can be investigated.
Contact details are entered by the customer's own administrator in our customer portal, after confirming with the contact that they agree to receive equipment alerts. We do not buy, rent or otherwise acquire phone numbers, and we do not collect them from public sources.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party. Information collected for this programme is used only to deliver equipment alerts and to support that service.
Messages are delivered through our communications providers, who process the destination number or address and the message content solely in order to deliver it on our behalf. They are not permitted to use it for any other purpose. No other third party receives this information, and it is never sold.
Contact details are kept while the contact remains on a customer's alert list. When a contact is removed, the record is marked inactive rather than deleted, so that the history of messages already sent stays readable and an enquiry about a past alert can still be answered. Message records are retained for operational and support purposes and are not used for marketing.
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. You will receive one confirmation, and no further messages will be sent to that number. Reply HELP for help. A customer administrator can also remove a contact at any time in the portal.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies with equipment conditions.
To ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to request deletion, contact us on 844-776-2833. Deleting a contact record removes the ability to alert that person; where a record must be retained to evidence consent for messages already sent, we will say so.
If this notice changes materially we will update this page. The date below is when it was last reviewed.
